Call for Papers

The Spanish Society of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science (SLMFCE) and the Institute of Science and Technology Studies of Salamanca University  organize the X Congress of the Society to be held in Salamanca from 16th to 19th November 2021. 

This year we are pleased to announce that our Lullius speaker will be Sandra Mitchell from the University of Pittsburgh.

We invite submissions for contributed papers and proposals for symposia (in English or Spanish) to the following sections:

A Logic, History and Philosophy of Logic
B Philosophy of Language
C Philosophy of Mind and Epistemology
D Philosophy and Methodology of Science
E History of Science
F Science, Technology and Society
G Argumentation

Submission: From 14th March to April 14th, 2021.

*EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR PAPER SUBMISSION: UNTIL 10 MAY*

Extended abstracts should have no more than 1500 words (with references) and must be prepared for blind refereeing. Also, a short abstract up to 150 words (without references) should be submitted. Proposal for symposia should include a brief abstract for each participant’s talk (without author names, max. 1000 words) and a justification of its interest (max. 500 words). Also, a short abstract of the symposia (max. 150 words without references) must be submitted. Proposals and abstract will be send to  https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=10slmfce

These contributed papers will be the final version that will be published.

The allocated time for delivering contributed papers will be 20 minutes and 10 minutes for discussion. The allocated time for symposia will be 2 hours with at most 5 participants. 

The acceptance of submissions will be informed before July 10th, 2021. 

In order to promote the work of young researchers, the SLFMCE will provide financial support for the three best contributions submitted by young researchers.
